First, there has been a lot of talk heating up the message boards this week about two new pieces of Gentle Giant news. First, a final version of the Clone Wars Obi-Wan statue has reportedly been found, and it does not look like the prototype. Gentle Giant has not confirmed or denied this information but Marjorie and Arnie discuss the news. Also, Gentle Giant has begun a raffle for its Premiere Guild members to buy the Black and White Boba Fett maquette. We discuss that as well.

We also have an interview with Aaron Brown of Aumann Auctions. They are having an on-line Star Wars auction this week which they call "The Treasure of the Hutts" where a lot of vintage Star Wars toys and books are for sale. He tells us what makes this auction different from just shopping on eBay.

Then we have a guest review of the Sideshow Jabba the Hutt statue, by Greg the Wookiee from our forums, and a Star Wars book report by Nathan P. Butler. Finally we flash back to 1983, reminiscing about the release of Return of the Jedi in theaters and discussing the mysterious soft-goods clad Royal Guard figure.

1) The upcoming McQuarrie figures are very cool in their representation of the concept art that made Star Wars what it is. However, why was the choice made to give Vader a soft goods cape, which does not hold its shape and therefore is not as true to the original McQuarrie art?

2) Star Wars collectors were very excited by the rerelease of the Imperial Shuttle last year, especially with it being approximately half the cost of the FAO exclusive version and coming with two bonus figures. Given that, why is the upcoming Toys R Us exclusive Bantha release so much more expensive than the original POTF2 Bantha? Are there any differences between this Bantha and the previous, retooling or such, which would explain the higher cost?

3) As the 30th Anniversary wave looms in our future, many collectors are worried about items which they have not yet seen; specifically the final wave of Star Wars figures including the Holographic Obi-Wan and Vader's Astromech. Are these items still shipping as of now, or should collectors rush over to eBay before prices go higher?
