Show Notes

Last Friday was the 30th anniversary of the release of The Empire Strikes Back. It is undoubtedly daunting to try and make a follow-up to the most successful film of all time, but George Lucas was up to the task creating a film that many fans actually consider superior to the original. Lando, Boba Fett, Carbonite, and Luke's paternal revelation, all iconic images created with this second installment in the Star Wars saga.

In celebration of this anniversary, Star Wars Action News brings you an extra-long episode full of your memories, your first time watching Empire Strikes Back on theaters or video, your favorite Empire toy, and more. And Jerry joins us with his favorite Empire collectibles, Nathan P. Butler gives us a retrospective of fandom and the EU when Empire was released, and Arnie reviews Alan Arnold's Once Upon A Galaxy -- The Making of The Empire Strikes Back.

With the news of Lucas' arrival at Celebration 5, some new collectibles up for pre-order, and Harrison Ford as an old man, it's all this and more on this we ek's Star Wars Action News podcast!
