Lego Movie Making Contest

Answer the Jedi Call!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

A time of creativity is upon us!  The Jedi Council has issued a mighty challenge:  create a 3-minute or  less video featuring LEGO® STAR WARS™ sets.  Fans from across the galaxy are using their cinematic Jedi  skills to create and upload their own digital video in answer to the Jedi call.  Select movies will be  featured in the LEGO® STAR WARS™ gallery, and then voted on by fans… and those deemed the best of the  best shall win amazing prizes chosen by Yoda, the Jedi Master himself!

May the Force be with you!

This contest runs from June 28th until August 26th.

Building on the popularity of short LEGO Star Wars movies like “The Han Solo Affair” and the Cartoon  Network exclusive, “Revenge of the Brick,” LEGO Systems invites LEGO and Star Wars fans alike to try  their hand at filmmaking for a chance to win the ultimate LEGO Star Wars prize pack and publication of  their film.

This summer, budding directors can enter 3-minute or less homemade movies in one of the three age  categories: 12 and under, 13-17 and 18+.  Films will be judged on creativity, content, originality, and  portrayal of LEGO Star Wars.  Finalists will be posted in August on,  where the public will vote to determine the winners (one in each age category), who will be announced in  September.

“The Star Wars franchise boasts some of the greatest fans in the world,” said Michael Pratt, Brand Manager,  LEGO Systems.  “To celebrate the 30th anniversary milestone, we wanted to create exclusive experiences to  further engage and inspire our mutual fan bases to further their passion for Star Wars play the LEGO way.”
