Introduction

A big part of the early 21st century is the concept of “transparency” in the media. With all the new channels of communication available to the average American the big news outlets are trying to show the average viewer more of what goes on behind the scenes. Ostensibly this is intended to give people a more full view of television news coverage, to provide news “in context” and allow the viewer to make up their own minds as to how they feel about the news, rather than editing slanting the story to promote a viewpoint. CBS and NBC have lately used the internet to create this transparency.

Never one to NOT jump on a bandwagon, I shall use this feature to create transparency, to allow you to see what goes on behind the recording of one of our shows, however if the abovementioned companies are ER, we’re Scrubs.
