Voting is a way to show your support for Star Wars Action News.

Typically we put 10-12 hours per week into the show. That's not including the time we spend on the forums, the time we spend shopping, etc. It's 10-12 hours planning the show, doing the Hasbro Q&A, discussing features, listening to voicemails, and editing (oh god, the editing). And this is just Marjorie and my time, not counting the time put in by Scott and Jacob on their segments, Jason doing our web site, THX moderating our forums, Mark helping the forums work and look great, Gary providing us with some kick butt graphics, Nathan keeping me informed with book matters, Brock keeping the book club going, etc.

As a result thousands of people (yes, you read that number right) enjoy us for an hour or so each week. We like to think we are entertaining and informing these people, otherwise why would they download week after week. :)

And we don't (and legally can't) make any money off of this, in fact it costs us quite a bit in money as well as time to do.

All we ask, the only thing we ask in return, is for people to take 10 seconds each month and go vote on Podcast Alley. It's a way to show your support, to help the show to grow, and to just tell us "thank you". We don't do the show for gratitude, we have fun doing it, but a vote at Podcast Alley lets us know that people enjoy our show enough to take that 10 seconds and vote.

It matters a lot. The more votes we get the more we know people really like our show and the harder we work. If no one voted, we would quit the show as obviously no one cares enough about the show for us to continue.
